This session will explore the common presentations of medically unexplained symptoms (MUS) in children and young people. It will identify the factors that can affect the onset and development of MUS and present the models used to explain MUS in children and young people. Finally, it will offer advice on how to manage and treat children and young people with MUS. This constellation is also known as functional somatic symptoms (FSS) or medically unexplained physical symptoms (MUPS).
