- Title:
- Section 1: Overview of children and young people’s mental health (introductory level)
- Description:
-
The modules range in level from introductory through to those more suitable for experienced mental health professionals. They cover:
The Anna Freud Centre has identified a series of online training modules from the MindEd catalogue to support the delivery of the Link Programme. The modules have been chosen to complement the Link Programme workshops.
• Types of mental health problems common in young people and their presentation
• Joint working across services
• How measurement and evaluation can be used to improve practice with children and young people
It is not a requirement of the Link Programme to take the modules, but we encourage you to do so and to share them with your colleagues who are not directly part of the workshops.
Most individual modules take 30 minutes to complete. However, you can take the modules at your own pace and can return to where you left off if you are unable to complete a module in a single sitting. Each module includes an assessment so you can test the knowledge you have learned, and you can print a certificate for each module you have completed. Please note, these functions are only available if you have created a MindEd learning account.
Taking the modules may also contribute to your own workplace CPD programmes.
The MindEd website also has a separate section with modules specifically aimed at Parents and Carers (https://mindedforfamilies.org.uk/young-people) which you may find useful.
The Anna Freud Link Programme modules are divided into four sections. You can select the modules you wish to study in each of the sections. There is not a requirement to complete all the modules in each section.
