Public Mental Health
Session information
- Title:
- Public Mental Health
- Description:
- Mental health conditions and poor wellbeing are common and can affect anyone. However, effective interventions can treat mental health conditions, prevent associated impacts, prevent mental health conditions from arising, and promote mental wellbeing and resilience. However, only a minority of people with mental health conditions receive treatment, far fewer receive interventions to prevent associated impacts, with negligible coverage of interventions to prevent mental health conditions or promote mental wellbeing and resilience. Public mental health involves a population approach to improve coverage, outcomes and coordination of public mental health interventions. This session highlights how this 'implementation gap' may be overcome, across whole populations. You may be eligible to claim CPD points for completing this session, subject to approval from your peer group. CPD points are generally provided on a basis of one point per hour of learning.
