This learning is to help you deliver the NHS Best Practice Guidance published in 2025. It is aimed at all staff, working with all age groups, in all settings, including voluntary, private and statutory across the health and care system. The learning highlights best evidence-based practice (based on 2022 NICE guidance) to help all practitioners know how to approach and what to do when supporting people to stay safe from suicide.
The learning is aligned with the Government’s 5-year Cross Sector National Suicide Prevention Strategy (Department of Health and Social Care (2023)).
